This super limited EV8K06 GBS Evolution VIII supersweater is one of only five pieces worldwide, with a single piece created exclusively for LABELS, representing the Benelux region, Northern Europe, and Scandinavia. The design is an elongated modified “extensionism” cardigan pattern based on extensive tailoring research. It was expertly knit using “Finezza Sette” 7-gauge construction techniques by the Sella family of master knitters in Cavarzere Venezia. Crafted with over 570 grams of pure Mongolian cashmere yarn from Italy’s renowned Cariaggi Lanificio, the sweater offers 10 times more insulation than normal wool. Handwoven pocket, elbow patch, and front placket pieces, created by Tessitura La Colombina in Badoere di Morgano using the same cashmere yarn, add to its artisanal quality.
The sweater was individually hand-dyed at the GBS Superworkrooms in Cavarzere Venezia, requiring over 10 hours of expert work to achieve its unique colors, patina effects, shaping, and remarkable softness, which naturally improves over time. Design highlights include hand-stitched “extensionism” detailing in cashmere yarn, a seamless one-piece construction without sewing or cutting, rib-knit sections, “calatura” shoulder shaping, and clean-finished front placket and pocket installation.
Custom incision-cut real horn buttons by Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, double-backed with mother-of-pearl buttons made in Padova, add a refined touch. Eight hand-stitched buttonholes, crafted with pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads, required 12–15 minutes each to complete on the handwoven fabric. A pure silk label, hand-dyed by Mion SpA in Torreglia, eliminates plastic polyester yarns and is sewn entirely by hand with silk threads.
Color and density variations reflect the artisanal techniques used. Professional cleaning or gentle handwashing in cold water with flat air drying is recommended. Avoid washing with other items, machine washing, or drying.
