This super limited edition GBS Evolution VIII EV8S06 handmade shirt is one of only 21 pieces worldwide, with just two created exclusively for LABELS, representing the Benelux and Northern Europe. It is based on a relaxed-fit, longer-length tailored men’s shirt pattern, developed from extensive tailoring research. The shirt is crafted from a 16-momme pure silk raso satin fabric featuring an exclusive “extensionism worlds” print, created by the legendary Brenna family in Como, Italy. The fabric was hand-washed and treated at the GBS Superworkrooms for enhanced aging, shaping, and softness.
The design features a balanced cut and fit, clean-finished French-seamed interiors, squared hems with side slits, and a longer back inspired by medieval proportions. A matching crossbody bag, crafted in the same workrooms, complements the shirt. Single-needle tailoring throughout, advanced “donut-shape” pure horn buttons by Claudio and Cinzia Fontana in Parma, and nine hand-stitched buttonholes, each requiring 10–12 minutes of work with pure silk Bozzolo Reale Milano Seta threads, reflect exceptional craftsmanship.
The piece includes a pure silk hand-dyed label by Mion SpA in Torreglia, the first in the luxury industry to eliminate plastic polyester yarns, attached entirely by hand with silk threads. Variations in color and density are intentional, showcasing the artisanal techniques. Buttons and buttonholes should be handled with care. Professional cleaning or gentle handwashing in cold water with buttons protected by foil or plastic wrap is recommended. Avoid machine washing or drying.
